The Final Review. (...for the semester)

Check the Student Toolbox! It's right on top. Technical difficulties ensued last night from home, but all is fixed and THE REVIEW IS UP.

Warning: It's long. As in over three pages long.

Here's how you should approach it: Because there's so much present, go through the items and place a check by the items you can thoroughly discuss. If you can't discuss or answer a question or item, highlight it and go over those items.

It is not for a grade, nor is it mandatory. It is, however, highly suggested.

Who exactly are the protagonists and antagonist in A Good Man? I know that the grandma and the family are the main characters, but technically they're bad and the Misfit is actually good even though he's supposed to be the bad guy. So... which would be the protag and the antag?

I assume that the Misfit, as he is opposing the grandma and the family, would be considered the protagonist. I dont think it necessarily has to be the "good guy" and the "bad guy". It would be who the main character is (protagonist), and who is oppsing the main character (antagonist). - just my view on the subject.

ahh...i dunno. I think its backwards. Bcuz the protagonist is the main character, which in this story, i believe is the grandmother. So naturally the antagonist would become the Misfit, as he is the opposing force to the grandma here

For the lit term journal do we print out poems for each example or do we list the name of the poem and author and explain them? If we do have to print them out, how are we supposed to do epic poetry?

this is about the timed write. if i am talking about a detail that he uses during a big chunk of the poem, can i say, from this line "quote" to this line "quote" Soto uses this.....?

The question is asking why is Fortunado sick and why did his illness help kill him. Hopefully that answers your question.

Epic Hero: 2 Examples
Epic Settings: 2 Examples
Epic Simile: 2 Examples
Epithet: ummm, you need some examples...
Allusion: 2 examples
Hubris: 2 examples
This is what my friend told me, and she asked Ms. Bellon :D

By the way, do you happen to know what archetype the grandmother is in "A Good Man is Hard to Find"?

Well, out of all the archetypes, the one that fits the grandmother best is the Devil Figure (according to the handout we received titled "Archetypes and Symbols"). But I'm not sure so you'll have to ask someone else haha

She said that you can write it but some of the poems are kind of long so she recommends typing it and then shrinking the font down so it can fit.
